If you happen reached this page DIRECTLY, kindly check the FIRST part here Remember The Milk… (1)

So, in the last part of Remember the Milk we asked what we can do to the task we have just added, namely,”Completing the Computer Science assignment”.

Got a check at the checkbox beside your task?

Excellent.

Now, did you see the list box where written in: More Actions…? This is where our first start will be.

What we will mainly deal with here is sending the task.

So, make sure that the checkbox beside your task is checked, and let us try to send the task.

Send To…

This is the first action.

What about it?

Let us go ahead and click on it and see what happens.

Aha. You are supposed to get the following now:

- A message at the top with an orange background stating the following: Sending “Completing the Computer Science assignment” to…, with two buttons, Send and Cancel, provided that the Send button doesn’t work.

- A message at the bottom in blue font stating the following: You have no contacts. You should invite some!

A reasonable note, isn’t it?

We want to apply a send action, but to whom?!

So, what to do now?

You can click at the Add Contact link at the right side of the page. Try and enter an email address in the text box that shows,  and then click at the checkbox beside that address.

If the person you want to make a send to is NOT a “Remember The Milk” member, you will get a message with an orange background at the top of the page stating the following: That person doesn’t appear to be a Remember The Milk member. Would you like to invite them?

Yes, exactly. As long as you insist you want to send to that person, let us click at the Would you like to invite them? link.

You will now be directed to a new page starting with the following: Send an invite to…

Now, simply fill out the required details, and press the Send invite button, and that’s it.

Look at the top of the page. You will notice a message with an orange background confirming the sending of the invitation to the entered email address beginning with the name that you have entered.

Click at the Tasks link at the top of the page, so you get directed to your tasks.

Try the process of sending once again. What did you notice?

WHAT?! THE SAME MESSAGE AGAIN?! IT IS NOT WORKING?!

Calm down… Calm down…

We have to wait a while for the Invitee. The person you have just sent an invitation to, to join “Remember The Milk”.

What will be happening at the other side? The invitee’s side.

Good question.

The invitee (The person you have invited) will find a new message in his mailbox.

That new message will have  the following characteristics:

1- Sender: Remember The Milk.

2- Subject: “Your name” has invited you to join Remember The Milk.

Now, when the invitee opens the message, he will be directed through a link to a page that will enable him to sign up for a new “Remember The Milk” account.

After he finishes signing up his new account he will get another message in his mailbox …etc.

I think you already know the rest of the story since you went through this process while signing up.

Assuming the invitee has went through those processes and got his “Remember The Milk”account ready, let us go ahead and try to make a send to him once again and see what happens.

Ready?

So, simply go to your tasks, and then click at the checkbox of the task you are intending of sending, which is as we agreed for the convention of this article is, Completing the Computer Science assignment. And, definitely, you can have other task(s).

After that, go ahead and choose Send To… from the More Actions… list box.

Now, click at the Add Contact link and enter the invitee’s email address and click at the checkbox beside the invitee’s email address.

So, having added the address of the invitee and checked the check box beside the invitee’s address, what will happen?

AMAZING…

You will get a message at the top of the page with an orange background saying something like:

Sending “Completing the Computer Science assignment”. Couldn’t send task to “invitee” because they don’t have you in their contacts list.

What now?

Now, the invitee is supposed to add you in his contact list.

The invitee should simply hit the Contacts link at the top of the page, click at the Add Contact link, and finally add your email address or your Remember The Milk user name.

After the invitee adds you to his contact list, go ahead now and try sending the task using the same steps we have done earlier.

AT LAST, your task is being sent and moved to Sent in Remember The Milk. Notice that the following message appears at the top of the screen with an orangebackground.

Sending “Completing the Computer Science assignment”. Done. Moved to Sent.
